September 11 by Victoria

Today we saw some demonstrators marching for National Catalan Day right out our window while we were doing our school work. They started a fire in the street, but you cannot see the fire in the video. Then we saw the swat team vans right behind the demonstrators. Luckily nobody got hurt while we were watching them. It was cool to see demonstrators in action. Some people think that Catalonia which includes Barcelona should not be a part of Spain, but should be it's own country. It's funny that today, September 11, for Catalonia is a day of independence and in the U.S. it is a day of reflection.

  1. V what are they chanting? What kind of teacher makes you do homework on Sunday? Hmmm, I think there should be some rules :)
Today zia and I went to Art in the Park (called crap in the park by you know who) It was very hot and we walked around for a couple of hours. We then walked to Fork where Papa met us and bought us lunch. Of course we had artichoke and butter cake. :-)

  2. That was a pretty big show of force for what seemed like a smallish demonstration. But I guess a fire in the street will bring out the authorities! Nonnie and I had a fun afternoon. It was my first time @ Fork and I really liked it.
