Montjuic by Harry

Castell de Montjuic is a castle at the highest point in Barcelona (700 ft.). We hiked up to it today. This imposing castle was a prison during Francisco Franco's rule of Spain. He was a bad guy even though he was backed by the United States. I wonder why the U.S. was friends with him. Montjuic means Jewish Mountain.

  1. That looks really interesting. To bad we were friends with the bad guy, sometime it's hard to tell. Do you think I can hike up there? It is still in the 90's in Boise so we are having close to the same weather. We are still having smoke/haze from the Salmon fire.

  2. Hey, how cool, is that a bridge like thing you and V are standing on with water underneath? Not sure I would do it unless I was holding on to your shoulder, but then we would both fall in :)

  3. I'm waiting for the man who put up the castle here on Warm Springs to put in a moat. He needs one, don't you think?
